Meaningful Media is a nonprofit network committed to changing our world through media.

The Meaningful Media Mission

Our mission is to increase the quality, visibility and impact of social issue media. We put this mission in action through:

• Networking: We connect a vibrant network of creators, distributors and advocates of socially-relevant media through our Membership Program, Professional Networks and Students for Meaningful Media Chapters.


• Research and Resources: We inform producers and consumers of meaningful media with reports, newsletters, fact sheets and our Meaningful Media Database, a comprehensive, searchable portal aggregating information on thousands of media projects, organizations and resources that are addressing our most pressing social, economic and political issues.


• Education: We inspire action and social change through an array of classes, seminars, workshops and forums.


• Professional Services: We empower clients to advance social issue media projects through consulting, promotion and fiscal sponsorship.
